Scrapbooking Ideas, Layouts and Projects - Free Scrapbook Printables

Original free printables I made on my computer for your scrapbook ideas and layouts. I've created 1000s of scrapbook paper, layouts, stickers and clip art elements to help feed my scrapbooking fetishes. Now I'm sharing more and more of them for you to print here. In this day of a slow economy - or any economy for that matter - scrapbook moms always appreciate a little help affording their scrapbook supplies. I know I always am looking for matching paper and never seem to have enough when I am putting together my scrapbooking albums for gifts - or for myself.

A little bit about my free scrapbook printable papers and more: I started creating them back in 1997 and placing them on my Parenting of Teens website at About.com and I called them cutouts (those printables are right here). It was a fun way to get to know moms that enjoyed scrapbooking while helping some of my website visitors with the expense of it. I was a part of the TwoPeasinaBucket crowd at the time and then later moved over to the Lifetime Moments site. That site is no longer in existence... wah! I miss it. I also hung out at a digital scrapbooking site named Digital Scrapbook Place. There I joined a group that made monthly kits for each other -- fun!!

Now I mostly hang out at Facebook, Twitter and some on Google Plus. I really like staying connected with people who like to do what I do, so be sure to added me if you are on these services. This is also an excellent way to track me down to ask me to make a scrapbook printable you are looking for – no promises, but I aim to please. I've also moved to a new and improved site format, which is taking forever to get all of my stuff in the database. I had no idea that 15 years of publishing on the site would make such a big place!

Tips on How to Use Printable Scrapbook Papers, Frames and Stickers

  1. Most of my current scrapbooking printables are done in .pdf format to prevent theft. Unfortunately that is what you get when you share on the internet sometimes. You’ll need Adobe Reader, a free software program, to read and print them. All of my thumbnails have my site url on them, so if you see them on someone elses’ forum, let them know that they stole it and should take it down.
  2. I allow my free printable scrapbook supplies to be used in projects that are for sale, that is my angle policy. I do not however give anyone the ability to use my printables for any other commercial use. Do not place them on any other site, link to them instead.
  3. Some of the file load faster than others and some are slow. This is because I use some texture in my files and like them to look life like when you print them. So the load time is often worth the wait. Also, you can print only the pages you want and save your ink. You do not need to print the whole file.
  4. I organize my printable scrapbook paper by colors that I have used. I try and make my sets from different pallets that I have and therefore, some of my sets match each other.
  5. Try to print to the very edge, but if you can’t on your printer it will still work but have a slight border. You can trim it, tear it or ink it ;) If it doesn’t work, I’m not much help. Take out your printer manual and check it out.
  6. Print your printable scrapbook supplies on cardstock or other acid-free paper. Check that your printer’s ink is acid free as well. I am pretty sure most are these days, but some companies may not be. If you want to make them look different you can experiment with different types of paper, like colored, textured or speckled card stock or photo paper. If you do something different with them I’d love to see it!
  7. My scrapbook paper is of at least 200 ppi, which is a high quality pixel per inch. When you see 72 ppi that quality is for web graphics, don’t bother trying to print that as it is often very grainy looking. Again this is why my files are large, they really are the highest quality I can possibly offer – and I offer them to you for free. Please just enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
