Work More - Get Paid More

It kind of goes without saying doesn't it? The more you work, the more you get paid. Unless you are salaried and your boss is working you so much overtime that you never really see the sun, then it's time to look for a better job where you are more appreciated. But if you get an hourly wage, there is one big benefit to working more hours. Therefore, you should try and get all the overtime you can.

If there is no overtime, or you are salaried with decent hours, then you may want to look into getting a part time job at night or on weekends. There are simple jobs all around that will put more money into your pocket, look locally at restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, etc.
If you have a family, you already have two jobs! But there are other ways of bringing in a little extra income. Offer to baby-sit in your home for Friday and Saturday evenings or to do mailings for local companies that can be done at night in your home. Always be on the lookout for a few extra dollars that can be earned here and there.

Now here is the kicker, because you're a money-smart person: plan for the use of that money before you receive it and spend it on nothing. The best use for money that you have earn on top of your normal salary is one of three things: debt-load reduction, emergency fund building or wealth building.
