Seafood Recipes - Happy Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic; minced
1 pound medium shrimp; peeled and deveined
1/4 cup green onions; chopped
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons fresh basil; chopped
2 roma (plum) tomatoes; chopped
cayenne pepper to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp, garlic and green onions and cook until shrimp is pink, about 5 minutes.
- Place shrimp into a dish and set aside.
- In the skillet, add wine, cream, tomatoes, basil and cayenne pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes. You know it is done when the sauce will coat the back of a spoon.
- Add shrimp to heat and salt and pepper to taste. Serves 4.
