Gifts in a Jar Recipes
Applesauce Cookies

• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 3/4 cup raisins
• 3/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda.
2. Pack flour mixture in the jar.
3. Add other ingredients to the jar, packing each one down as you go.
4. Close container securely.

For the Tag:

Applesauce Cookies

• 3/4 cup of butter
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup applesauce

1. Beat together butter, egg and applesauce.
2. Stir in the ingredients from the jar.
3. Drop teaspoons of dough on a non-stick cookie sheet.
4. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes at 350F.
