Chunky Chocolate Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 squares (1 ounce each) white baking chocolate, divided
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (11-1/2 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks or 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Melt three squares of white chocolate and let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  3. Cream butter and sugars in a large bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add in melted chocolate and vanilla and beat well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt and add gradually to the other bowl. Add semisweet chocolate chunks and stir well.
  5. Drop by tablespoonfuls on un-greased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for one minute and place on wire racks.
  7. Melt remaining white chocolate and drizzle over cookies. Serves: 36.
