Cookie Recipes Index Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream shortening and sugars in a large bowl. Add in eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each egg is added. Add in vanilla and beat well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add to other bowl and beat until combined. Add in the oats and raisins, stir well.
- Shape dough into one inch balls. Place two inches apart on un-greased cookie sheets. Flatten with the greased bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 10-11 minutes or until golden brown. Do not over bake. Let cool on wire racks. Serves: 21.
