Cute Pig Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • FROSTING/DECORATING:
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 to 4 drops red food coloring
  • Pink sugar wafer cookies
  • 36 large marshmallows, halved
  • Butterscotch chips and miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy and add eggs, sour cream and vanilla and mix well.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt then add to other bowl and mix well.
  4. Place dough on an un-greased cookie sheet one tablespoon at a time.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Place on wire racks to cool.
  6. When cookies are completely cool, make frosting by mixing confectioners' sugar, butter, milk, vanilla and food coloring. Spread frosting on cookies.
  7. To make ears, cut sugar wafers into triangles and place on cookies. For nose, take a toothpick and poke two holes in each marshmallow half and place butterscotch chips in each. Press noses onto cookies and place chocolate chips on the cookie for the eyes. Serves: 36.
