Crock Pot Recipes

Manhattan Clam Chowder

Ingredients:

  • 3 celery ribs; sliced
  • 1 lg onion; chopped
  • 1 can 14-1/2oz sliced potatoes; drained
  • 1 can 14-1/2oz sliced carrots; drained
  • 2 cans 6-1/2oz each chopped clams
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
  • 1-1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 whole black peppercorns

    Instructions:

    1. Place all of the ingredients in the crock pot.
    2. Cover and cook on low for 7 - 9 hours, until all ingredients are tender.
    3. Remove bay leaf and peppercorns.


    Serves 6 to 8.
