Crockpot Baked Fish Au Gratin Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 Lb Frozen white fish fillets; thawed, rinsed and dried
  • 6 Tb Butter or margarine
  • 3 Tb Flour
  • 1 1/2 Ts Salt
  • 1/2 T Dry mustard
  • 1/4 T Nutmeg
  • 1 1/4 C Milk
  • 1 1/2 Ts Lemon juice
  • 1 C Cheddar cheese; shredded

    Instructions:

    1. Combine in a sauce pan melted butter flour, salt, mustard and nutmeg. Whisk to blend.
    2. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
    3. Add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
    4. Place fish into slow cooker pouring lemon juice over fish. Then add sauce.
    5. Cover and cook on high 1-2 hours until fish is flaky.


    Yield: 6 servings.
