Crock Pot French Onion Beef with Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 lb boneless beef round steak; cut into 6 serving sizes (1/2 to 3/4 in thick)
  • 1 large onion; sliced, separated into rings
  • 1 10-oz can condensed French Onion soup
  • 1 6-1/4-oz pkg 15 min. herb stuffing mix
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter; melted
  • 4 oz 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    Instructions:

    1. In the crock pot layer half of beef, mushrooms and onion; repeat layers.
    2. Pour soup over the layers in the crockpot.
    3. Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours or until beef is tender.
    4. Twenty minutes before serving, toss stuffing mix and contents of seasoning packet with melted margarine and 1/2 cup liquid from crockpot.
    5. Place stuffing on top on contents in crockpot.
    6. Cover and cook on high for 10 minutes or until stuffing is fluffy.
    7. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook on high until cheese is melted.
