Crockpot Recipes

All Day Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Frozen OJ
  • 2 cups Chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 Cloves garlic; minced
  • 1 dash Allspice
  • 4 pounds Chicken; breasts and thighs
  • 1/4 pound Mushrooms; sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Margarine or butter
  • 1 can 11-oz. mandarin orange Sections; drained
  • 1/2 large bell Pepper; sliced lengthwise
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Cold milk
  • 1/4 cup Cold water

    Instructions:

    1. In a marinade dish, combine the first nine ingredients. Add chicken. Marinade over night.
    2. Place chicken and marinade in the crock pot leaving one inch room at the top.
    3. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours on low. Turn it to high to finish.
    4. In a skillet saute mushrooms.
    5. Add mushrooms, mandarin oranges, green pepper and ginger to the pot.
    6. In a bowl stir together milk, water and corn startch. Slowly add to the crock pot to thicken sauces. Stir.
    7. Cover the slow cooker and let simmer for 15 to 30 minutes until serving.
    8. Serve with new potatoes and baby carrots.
