Appetizer Recipes
Pita Crisps with Herbs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/2 tsp pickling coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh oregano or 1/4 tsp dried
  • 1 tbsp chopped freshbasil or 1/4 tsp dried
  • 1 cup unsalted butter; softened
  • 9 (about 7-inch) pita bread, each pita cut into eighths

    Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 375 F.
  • In a bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients.
  • Spread each pita piece with herb butter and place on baking sheets.
  • Bake at 375 F for five to ten minutes or until golden and crisped.
  • Cool on a wire rack before serving. Makes 72 pita crisps.
