Almond Mushroom Pate with Cream Cheese Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1 sm onion; chopped
  • 1 clove garlic; minced
  • 1 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp tarragon
  • 1 cup blanched whole almonds
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 dash white pepper
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, melt margarine. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Saute until tender but not browned.
  2. Add tarragon. Stir until it is softened.
  3. In a food processor, add contents of skillet and all of the ingredients.
  4. Process until mixture is smooth.
  5. Garnish with finely chopped almonds and serve on thick slices of crusty French bread.
