Appetizer Recipes Cheesey Bean Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 onion; chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic; crushed
- 1 cup salsa; your choice of heat
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 15-oz. can of black beans; rinsed and drained
- 1 31-oz. can refried beans
- 2 8-oz. pkgs. cream cheese; softened
- 8 oz. cheddar cheese; shredded
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 300.
- Brown ground beef, chopped onions and crushed garlic. Drain fat, turn off heat.
- Stir in salt, pepper and salsa.
- Place meat mixture in bottom of 13x9 baking dish.
- Layer refried beans on top of meat, black beans next and then dollops of cream cheese.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over all.
- Cover with foil and bake 30-40 minutes until heated thru.
Variations: This dip can be served with tortilla chips, or you can spread it on a tortilla shell, roll up and slice, securing it with toothpicks.
