Amish Recipes Amish Friendship Banana Nut Bread Recipe
Use ONLY glass, wooden or plastic utensils and bowls. Metal is not used.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup Amish Friendship starter
2 bananas; mashed
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease and flour(or sugar) two loaf pans.
In a large bowl mix together all ingredients. Pour into the greased loaf pans.
Bake at 350F for 50 to 60 minutes, until top browns.
Cool slightly before taking out of the pans. Slice and serve warm with butter.
