Birthdays are occasions meant to be celebrated. From the time we are born, we keep track of the passage of time in our lives. Mile markers like birthdays are measurements and achievements of accomplishments, hence the greeting Happy Birthday on a celebrating person's day of birth.

Five simple Safety Rules for Balloons at Parties

The leading cause of choking deaths among children younger than 6 years of age are un-inflated latex balloons or fragments of popped balloons are. You can insure that children attending your son's/daughter's party are safe from this hazard by using these five simple safety rules:

  • Do not give out un-inflated balloons for games or prizes.
  • Pick up pieces of broken balloons immediately.
  • Teach children not to put un-inflated balloons or pieces of a balloon near their mouths.
  • Do not play pop the balloon games with children under the age of 8 years old. Reiterate the rules to safe balloon play to the children before playing balloon games.
  • Use Mylar balloons and streamers as alternate decorations in birthday parties for children younger than 6-years-old.

Birthday Party Supplies on the Net
