Birthday Party Theme Ideas: Sports Bowling Party

  • Bowling parties usually require a bowling alley. Call around and get the different rates offered and see which alleys in your area have party rooms.
  • You usually end up with a more festive party by bringing your own supplies and cake, but see what the alley has to offer.
  • Set the guests up into teams and have a tournament. Give prizes for the most strikes, highest score, etc.
  • Play one game of crazy bowling: between legs, left hand, eyes closed, tiptoe, spin around, balanced on one foot.
  • Give your birthday boy/girl a real bowling pin and have the guests autograph it with a sharpie marker to make a wonderful memento.
  • See if the bowling alley offers food like pizza, but some treats from will add to the festivities - like fruit.
  • A bowling party can now be done at home by using the Wii Sports game - and it can be just as fun.
  • Buy toy bowling sets and give each child a pin. Have relay races when the children have to go up and back holding the pin between their knees. Or see how fast a group can set their pins up.
  • Offer to get a lane for the parents who stay at the party, they can pay for their own games if they want to bowl.
  • Make a center piece with a toy bowling pin filled with sand at the bottom and balloons tied to it.

Do you want party kits or should you do it yourself? Often with parties, a combination of the two will get things done and give the party your special touch. That's the real key in making your party a big hit. Here are a few pirate party packages from birthday party supply companies on the net.
