All guests entering the theme parks can and are searched for sercurity reasons. Expect that your bags, backpacks, purses and pockets will be checked before entering any of the theme parks. I think it is wonderful that Disney is doing its part to keep it's guests safe, so go the extra mile and thank the person who does your check.
