Baby Shower Checklist - Timeline for Hostessing

Plan a list of the big things you will need for the shower - extra chairs, tables, lace umbrella, etc. Start looking for these items. You may find that someone who is on the guest list will have something you can use or that you may have to rent some items.
If you are making baby shower favors or baby shower decorations, you should begin making them this week. This is one item you can get done and check off the checklist. While you may not know how many guests will be attending, it isalways better to have too many favors at the party then not have enough time to make them all.
Begin planning the menu and order a cake if you are not making it.
Choose what gift you will be getting for mommy and pick up some thank you cards in your theme and stamps to add to your gift. At the shower you can have the guests fill out their name and address on the envelopes. You can wrap it all up and give to mommy. New moms really appreciate how much time you save them with this thoughtful gift.
