Embellishing Die Cuts
Halloween Border

This scrapbooking border is a howlin' great way to say Boo! on your next layout.

You'll need:

  • Cardstock: orange, gray, green, yellow, purple, black
  • Mulberry paper: brown
  • Vellum: pearl white or regular
  • Adhesive
  • Sizzix sidekick and/or sizzlits Halloween die cuts
  • Chalk or rubbing paint
  • Acid free markers

  1. Cut black card stock into a border mat, 3" x 10".
  2. Cut out shapes using the Halloween set of the sizzlits. Use the vellum for the ghosts.
  3. Embellish the die cuts: Use chalk and ink around all of them, put a small square of yellow cardstock on the back of the jack-o-lantern so that it shows through the eyes, nose and mouth.
  4. Chalk the outside of the tombstone and write R.I.P. on it.
  5. Start the border by building the bottom with torn pieces of brown mulberry paper.
  6. Put down the tombstone and put a small piece of torn mulberry paper on top at the bottom.
  7. Add the rest of the die cuts as shown in the picture.
