Why Do You Need to Prepare?
Preparing to make a certain type of scrapbook - a vacation scrapbook or wedding album - before the event will help you complete the project after the event. You can prepare as little or as much as you want. You could even have the album totally ready minus the pictures before the event even happens.
Here is how:
- Decide on a theme for the scrapbook. For example, for family vacation at the beach will you do your pages chronilogically or will you do an ABC album.
- Gather supplies like paper and embellishments like themed stickers or paper piecings for your pages.
- Think through your titles and page themes.
- Organize your supplies by page and make up the layouts.
- While the event is happening, collect things like postcards, brochures, ticket stubs, sections of maps, matchbook covers, souvenirs and receipts all flat things that can be included in a scrapbook.
- When you get home, order your pictures right away. Place them in the album.
- Add the extra things to your layouts.
- Decorate the cover.
