Easy ant project for your kids to make out of an egg carton. You'll need:

• Egg carton bottoms; 1 cup per flower can be cardboard or foam cups
• Tempra paint; different colorsif cardboard cups
• 1 6-inch piece green pipe cleaner per flower
• something to poke holes in the egg carton(pen, pencile, knitting needle)

1. If the egg carton is cardboard, paint the egg carton cups different colors both inside and out. Allow to dry. Poke a hole in the bottom of each cup, big enough to stick the pipe cleaner through.
2. About half way down the pipe cleaners put a kink in it. Put through the hole in the egg carton cup so that the cup is opened in the up position and it sites on the kink in the pipe cleaner.
3. Swirl the pipe cleaner end that is sticking up into the egg carton cup to make the inside of the flower.
4. Optional: cut a flower leaf out of construction paper and glue on to the stem.
