How to Make a Head Pin Out of Wire
Spiral Head Pin

You'll need these supplies:

• 21 gauge wire

You'll need these tools:

• wire cutters; flush cutters
• Hammer
• Round nose pliers
• Chain or bent nose pliers
• Anvil or steel plate
• Wire file

1. Cut wire to the desired length of the head pin plus 1 and 1/2 inches.
2. Make an open or closed spiral at the one end. Three times around is good, for a bigger spiral go four times around. Leave one to two inches of wire to bead.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. You can choose to flatten the spiral with your hammer and anvil.
