Wire Wrapping Jewelry
Golden Roses Wire Wrapped Necklace

You'll need these supplies:

• 22 gauge wire
• 20 gauge wire
• 2 - 4mm gold fill seamless rounds
• 6 - glass coin beads; mine are vintage caramel
• 7 - 12X16mm grossularite garnet beads
• 12 wire jumpring roses
• One spiral clasp with variation with eye, see instructions below
• One little spiral made of 22 gauge wire

You'll need these tools:

• wire cutters; flush cutters
• Round nose pliers
• Bent nose or chain nose plyers

1. Make a pendant using 22 gauge wire. Start with a eye loop, bead seamless round, garnet bead, seamless round. Loop and wrap. Attach the little spiral to the eye.
2. Cut tweleve 3-inch pieces of 22 guage wire. Note: When looping the wire in this piece the loop needs to be large, so use the base of your round nose pliers.
3. With one piece of wire, loop and wrap around a jumpring rose. Bead with a garnet bead, loop and wrap around a second jumpring rose. On that end, loop and wrap another wire. Bead a coin bead and loop and wrap around a third jumpring rose. Continue until you get to the third coin bead. After the rose you will need to loop and wrap another coin bead, then continue with the normal pattern. This is the middle rose that will hold you pendant.(see picture) Do not end the necklace with a rose. The hook side of the clasp goes here.
4. Make a variation of the wire spiral clasp. When you start the spiral, use the base of your round nose pliers, making a larger hole in the middle of the spiral. This adds to the uniqueness of the piece.
5. To finish the wire necklace, attach the pendant to the middle rose and the clasp to the ends. Hook on the non-rose end.
