How to Make a Bead Link

This is a basic wire technique for putting beads on wire to make bead links for jewelry pieces. If you are just learning to do this, use inexpensive wire to practice on.

You'll need these supplies:

• wire
• beads that fit on the wire

You'll need these tools:

• Bent nose or chain nose plyers
• round nose pliers
• file

1.) Cut the length of the wire that you need, be sure to include enough to loop and wrap at both ends. Make a loop and wrap on the first side. (Here is the loop and wrap tutorial.)

2.) Place your beads on the wire. Leaving some room for the wraps, bend the end 90 degrees.

3.) Loop and wrap the second side. It will take some time and practice to get this even.
