Beaded Lariat Instructions

Dragonfly Dreams Bead Lariat

This fun piece shows off a large marcasite dragonfly. It takes a bit of time to bead, but the end is well worth the wait.

You'll need these supplies:

• 30mm Marcasite dragonfly
• size 11 seed beads
• 6mm czech fire polished beads; purple
• 5 - 10mm czech fire polished beads; clear
• 5 - 10mm czech fire polished beads; purple
• 3 clear czech rondelle
• beading wire

You'll need these tools:

• Crimping pliers
• Wire cutters
• chain nose pliers

1.) Bead one crimp bead, 25 sead beads, one 6mm bead, 20 seed beads, one 6mm bead, 20 seed beads. Put the wire back through the crimp bead and crimp it.

2.) Bead most of your larger beads on the loop side, to distribute the weight of the lariat. Space yoru czech beads with your seed beads, putting about 10 to 15 seed bead between each czech bead or bead set.

3.) Finish by beading a crimp bead, 15 seed beads. Place loop of the dragonfly charm over the seed beads. Put the beading wire through the crimp bead and crimp. Trim the end.
