Beaded Halloween Earrings - Free Pattern
Dripping Blood Duster Earrings

These duster type earrings are fun to make in any color, plus they look great on. But the deep red glass seed bead and glass bicone bead make them perfect 'dripping blood' earrings. Wear them at your next Halloween bash!

You'll need these supplies:

  • 6 - glass bicone beads; red
  • size 11 seed beads; red
  • 2 split rings; goldtone
  • 2 earwires or leverbacks
  • Beading thread

You'll need these tools:

  • Beading needle
  • Beeswax
  • Bent nose or chain nose plyers

1.) Cut 4 feet of beading thread and run it through the beeswax. Tie it to one of the split rings using an overhand knot - leave a 4 to 6 inch tail. Thread your beading needle.

2.) Bead 60 seed beads, one bicone bead, one seed bead. Go back through to the top where the slip ring is. Pull to tighten. Do a half hitch knot around the split ring. Repeat this step two more times.

3.) After the last half hitch knot, tye a knot with the two ends. Using your beading needle, thread each end down one of the drops for about 6 beads, trim.
