Make Beaded Earrings How to Bead Earrings: The Basics
Making beaded earrings are a fun and easy craft to master. Once you are able to make a loop in wire, you'll never go without the most perfect earrings for your outfit, because you can make them! Here is everything you need to know about making beaded earrings for the beginner jewelry maker:
Supplies To Make Beaded Earrings
To make a pair of earrings you'll need two of everything. You'll need two ear wires. These come in a variety of styles and you can even wire wrap your own ear wires when you are comfortable.

Two head pins or eye pins. Eye pins have the loop at the bottom so that you can dangle another bead drop or charm. Head pins have a flat or tipped bottom to keep the beads from falling off.

Beads - the fun supply. You'll need to pick out some that you'd love to wear. Be sure the holes are not too big or too small for your headpins and you'll be fine.
Tools To Make Beaded Earrings
Wire cutter - Try to get a flush cutter(one that cuts one side flat). A decent cutter is worth every penny.
Chain nose pliers - If you are going to wrap your loops you will really need these.
Round nose pliers - These are the tool that make your loop in your headpin to dangle your earrings, very important.
Note on tools packs at craft stores: If you are just starting out and unsure of this craft, these are okay. Otherwise, they do not last long and you will need to get your tools from a bead or jewelry supplier instead.
How to Bead Earrings
Take your headpin and bead your earrings, do both. Look at the bead arrangement and switch it around, checking out the different ways the beads can be put together.
Once you are satisfied you'll need to finish the top of the earrings. There are two ways of doing this. You can loop them or loop and wrap them. Learning to loop the top is the first step for the beginner. But, if you are adventurous, you may want to loop and wrap also. I have instructions for both in the wire wrapping section of the website: Loop Your Head Pin or Loop and Wrap Your Headpin.
Lastly, you'll need to attach the beaded headpin to the earwire. Note: open the eye of the earwire to the side so you do not break down the strength of the earwire.
