PSP9 Tutorial: Make Metal Rim Tag with Vellum
How to make a metal rimmed tag with vellum using Paint Shop Pro 9, PSP9 for digital scrapbooking.
1.) Create a new image.
- Width: 600 pixels
Height: 600 pixels
Resolution 200 dpi
Raster background
16 million color depth
Transparent
2.) Set your colors to Foreground: #c0c0c0 Background the color of your vellum.
3.) Choose your ellipse tool, circle, width 10, anti-alias checked, line style solid. Draw a circle to take up most of the space in your image.
4.) Layers, then merge visible.
5.) Using your magic wand, select the light gray outer part of your image.
6.) Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel using the variables shown below.
7.) Invert selection, cut or use the delete key so that there is nothing in the middle.
8.) Using the fill tool, at 50% opacity, blend mode: normal, fill the middle.
9.) Selections, Select none.
10.) Using the selection tool, circle shape, select the hole at the top of the tag.
11.) Save as a png file.
