Tutorial: Making a Ribbon Out of Patterned Paper
How to make a ribbon for digital scrapbooking using Paint Shop Pro 9 PSP.
1.) New image, settings at:
- Width: 3400 pixels
Height: 200 pixels
Resolution 200 dpi
Raster background
16 million color depth
Transparent
3.) Choose the selection tool and then hit the custom selection. Settings:
- Top 25
Bottom 175
Left 0
Right 3400
4.) Select the pattern image and fill the selection with it. Settings:
- Angle 0
Scale 150
Texture not checked
5.) Selections > Modify > Contract Number of pixels: 15
6.) Selections > Invert
7.) Effects > Texture effects > Blinds Settings:
- Width 15
Opacity 25
Color black
8.) Choose selection tool and then hit custom selection. Settings:
- Top 0
Bottom 200
Left 25
Right 3375
9.) Image > Crop to selection
