Layout Idea: Precious

I use PSP, but the directions are pretty generic for other programs to make this layout. Download the kit here.

1. Open the print background. Copy it and paste it as a new image. Close the original background. This is your working copy.
2. Open the overlay. Copy it and 'paste as a new layer' on your working copy.
3. Add a new layer. Layers -> New Raster Layer -> Opacity 100 %
4. Open both your light and dark backgrounds.
5. With your selection tool on the third layer, select a strip covering the metal elements above the frame.
6. Fill the selection with the dark background.
7. With your selection tool, select a box covering the 'precious' quote.
8. Fill the selection with your light background.
9. Crop your picture and place over the frame.
10. Place the top layer under the frame/quote/element layer.
11. Stay on that layer and add the eyelet ribbon strip to the bottom and the date tabs on the sides. Drop shadow to the whole layer(make sure nothing is selected).
12. Merge layers, add text and save.
