Save Your Money Tips
Money Saving Tip #40
Save Money on Concert Costs

Previous Money Saving Tip | Main Money Saving Tips Index | Next Money Saving Tip

Volunteering to review a concert or play for your local newspaper can get you two free seats in the better section of the house. The only thing is that you need to have some knowledge of the subject you are writing the review about. You can also win concert tickets through your local radio stations. It's a good idea to have the phone numbers for these stations on your speed dial. College radio stations may offer the best chance for winning tickets, since their listener base is probably a lot smaller than the local stations.

Also, performances by local artists are usually at a lower cost and sometimes they are free. Check your local newspaper for such performances at local coffee shops, bookstores or libraries.
