Save Your Money Tips
Money Saving Tip #38
Reduce Television Costs

Previous Money Saving Tip | Main Money Saving Tips Index | Next Money Saving Tip

You can save as much as $20/month by canceling the cable extras and going back to basic cable. There is no sense paying all of that money for channels you don't watch. The alternative would be to cut out television completely. There are dollar theatres, local film festivals and even drive-ins that can offer you the same entertainment, but for less. Also, if you live in a college town, there may be a campus theatre that may show low-cost art or foreign films.
